The year 2017 being the ‘Golden Jubilee’ year of the great milestone of Marathi Sangeet Rangabhoomi viz. “Katyar Kaljat Ghusli”, Pt. Chandrakant Limaye has conceptualized & designed a concert honoring the memory of this pioneering musical play of all times. This concert will showcase senior stage artistes, who were a part of this musical play since the time of its conception, viz. Shri. Prasad Savkar, Smt. Faiyaz, Smt. Bakul Pandit and Pt. Chandrakant Limaye himself. All these Sr. artists will interact with the audience about their memories and try to reveal the history behind this great legendary theater creation. It is always the endeavor of “Vasantrao Deshpande Sangeet Sabha” to provide a platform for young and upcoming artists. This time also young artistes viz. Swanand Bhusari, Sunil Pandit & Seema Tade will perform some of the songs from “Katyar Kaljat Ghusli’ and well-known artists like Makarand Kundale (organ), Atul Tade (Tabla) & Shri Rajan Mashelkar (Violin) will accompany all these performances.
